The American Amateur Youth Baseball Alliance (AAYBA) was co-founded in 1989 by Carroll “Woody” Wood and Greg Moore in the greater St. Louis, Missouri area in 1989. Created with a vision of providing young baseball players the opportunity to compete on a national stage, AAYBA quickly established itself as one of the Premier World Series events in travel baseball. Hosting 150 – 200 teams every July in St Louis and later in Dallas, Tx.

The AAYBA World Series is focused on creating competitive and memorable championship experiences for teams of all skill levels. The AAYBA Youth World Series, has attracted hundreds of teams from across the United States and internationally, earning a reputation as one of the nation’s most respected Travel World Series Weeks.

AAYBA’s unique tournament format (flighted championship play) allows teams to compete against similarly skilled opponents as the event progresses, ensuring meaningful competition and opportunities for success at every level.

AAYBA is committed to promoting sportsmanship, player development, teamwork, and a lifelong love of the game. 

AAYBA will continue its tradition of bringing together players, coaches, and families from across the country to compete for a World Series championship while creating lasting memories both on and off the field.
